I've been trying out some digital painting recently. Some are done from picture reference and some are just imaginary. I'm quite disappointed with how it turned out. They all look plastic. There must be something I'm doing wrong but I don't know what it is yet and it's frustrating =(

Face sketches

I've always been interested in drawing caricatures of people but am still trying to be better at it.

Some of these drawings look more like pictures from my imagination rather than the actual person :( I drew these in a shopping mall.

Halloween Art Jam

This is what I submitted for my friend's Wendy's Halloween art jam . I don't like the way I colored this piece but it's best I know how to do it.. I need more practice.

This is a random sketch I did on London-based pop musician/singer Mika. Doesn't really look like him but still, I like drawing the curly hair.

This is Mona Tozzi. She's a character from a book I've just finished reading, "The Last Coyote" by Michael Connelly. I drew her up based on the description in the book.

She's not the lead character, just a clerk who makes things difficult for the detective in the story.
